Tomorrow, October 14th is your birthday. Happy Birthday to one of the most inspiring women I have known since I found love in the field of art. Farah stablished Kanoon; the very first official children books publishing in Iran. Thank you for all you have done for Iran and the Persian culture. My generation and the genrations after me love you and will be gratful for your social and cultural activities you did for Iran.
سپاس برای تمام کارهایی که برای ایران و ایرانی انجام دادین، ممنونم موزه هنرهای معاصر ایران را راه اندازی کردین که من جوان ایرانی بیست ساله ی بیست سال پیش بتوانم تجربه دیدن اصل اثر هنری را در اولین روزهای تاتی تاتی در دانشکده هنرهای زیبا را داشته باشم. ذوق کنم از قدم گذاشتن به کانون حتی بعد از شما. ممنونم که نشر کانون را راه اندازی کردین و من کودک ایرانی توانستم در آن دنیای جنگی روزهای کودکی پناه ببرم به بهترین کتاب های دنیا که کانون چاپ می کرد. ممنون که به دنیا امدین.

In Tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg

From Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast

“Hello, dear Imps. It seems like it wasn’t that long ago that I was saying that I had plans for a Sunday post that I was temporarily setting aside so that I could mark the death of an American luminary. I’d like to do this again. I’m taking this space here today, given the news of the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, to mark this profound loss.

On social media, I noticed that various children’s book illustrators were paying tribute—with either previous illustrations of Ginsburg or ones they’d drawn on the spot when they heard the sad news this weekend. I’m sharing some of those here today. (I know there must be many, many more, but here is just a small handful.)
